I bought this book after watching the "Arrival" film as I was a bit confused about why the aliens really came to earth and it wasn't evident in the film, but the book is even more confusing and laconic.
The film took a few liberties with the story which I /5(K). The Arrival is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen, on several different levels.
I paged through slowly, savoring each image. Tan often uses a series of Arrival book images to convey a thought or a feeling--each is a masterpiece.
