The hymn came to be known as “St. Patrick’s Breastplate.” There are multiple versions of “St. Patrick’s Breastplate.” The free copywork pages I created have both the traditional abridged version as well as the full version. There is also a classic, full page, black and white drawing of St. Patrick for your child to color. This is my paraphrased version of St. Patrick's "Breastplate Prayer" from the 5th century. This work contains translations into English of St. Patrick's Confession, his Letter to Coroticus, a few fragments from other writings, the Canons (regulations for monks), and St. Secundinus' Hymn on St. Partick. The language is a little dated, but it is very readable.
